What is oolong tea?
Oolong cha (in Chinese: 乌龙茶) is a type of Chinese tea with an oxidation level between green and black tea leaves. The dry leaf appearance of this tea, also pronounced as ‘wulong’ by the Chinese, can have colors that vary from green to almost black, depending on the oxidation level.
Anxi’s famous Tieguanyin, for example, is green and has a flavor that is closer to a green tea with a thicker soup and characteristic floral aroma.
